I think the idea that there ever was a "beginning" is absurd. What is, always was, and has been, and will be. I believe most of us learned in school that matter cannot be created or destroyed, therefore it must have always existed. The theory of the "big bang" can only be an event along our perceived time line, not the beginning of it. Time is only a measurement of what we can perceive. We do not know the beginning, because i believe, there never was one, existence is infinite.

Time... i think time is only a reference. ive thought about it alot. think about it, when your bored, time slugs. when you have fun your mind moves slower, so you lose your reference. your not thinking in the same sense. but when your bored, your thinking and capitalizing your self on your being. making you notice time more. so it seems like its moving slower. i dont know if this makes sense to you, but i think it makes sense...

Zimbardo is just saying that because technology has made people less patient and created a need for kids to create and control, education and family values need to change as well. @074377623 I dunno, maybe things have changed in the 8 years since I graduated, but I don't see how X-Box-playing is a major factor in the level of high school dropouts. There are other factors, other stressors at play, such as drugs, teen pregnancy, unstable home life, etc. that seem to me to be more likely to motivate someone to drop out. My other point was that it's not just teenage boys that play video games: people of all ages play, and it affects everyone differently.

To be honest I won't be reading every single comment made on this video, I wish I had the time but I'm afraid I do not despite others making their points of view valid. The first thing that bugged me about this video was when it came to 21 year olds "wasting" their life in front of video games, video games for most people are a way to bypass boredom. Also, the way high schoolers are taught does not only depend on their location but as well as their keenness to learn or not to.

I think Prof. Zimbardo is partly right about kids dropping out of school over boredom, but I wouldn't overrate video-game playing as a cause for the epidemic of drop-outs. Many people today graduate from high school and get college degrees, and they still manage to find time to play Farmville (on Facebook) or Halo or Rock Band. I think bullying, bad/poor teachers, and frustration with an undiagnosed learning disorder, for ex., are more compelling reasons for someone to quit school.

wow? If you got into NYU, and this is all you've got. I'm guaranteed to get in. This was terrible. I see what you were trying to do, but it wasn't executed quite correctly, and the editing is sloppy. Maybe next time. This is a happy song with different tempos and breaks, and with the continuous,linear, and unchanging movement of the shoes, it just didn't quite work.
